Hangout Fest Adds STS9, Railroad Earth, Grace and The Avett Bros

The Hangout Music Festival – May 20-22 in Gulf Shores, AL

The Hangout Fest has further established itself as one of the best (if not the best) festival offerings on this season’s menu by added twelve more names to an already impressive lineup today. STS9, who likely were supposed to be apart of the initial lineup, are in the mix after bassist David Murphy’s recent bout with cancer put the band’s Winter Tour on hold while Murphy recovered (including a pair of dates at the House of Blues). Grace Potter played a memorable show last month down at HoB, The Avett Brothers will be appearing a couple weeks earlier at Jazz Fest, Honey Island Swamp Band (Best Roots Rock Artist at 2010 Best of the Beat Awards) and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe is a scene staple year-round (especially during Jazz Fest). Gulf Shores is a mere 190 miles away, the first bands are set to hit the stage in 65 days, and tickets are still available, so why are you still waiting to pull the trigger?
