This year’s event looked to be an overwhelming success as people turned out in droves on Saturday afternoon to support a great cause. The new location in City Park, the food and drink options and Anders/Big Chief and the Radiators closing it out all contributed to making this year’s fundraiser a day to remember. Hogs for the Cause now has a permanent spot on the crowded local Spring time calendar. The event would be worthy of strong consideration for out-of-towners looking for a good non-Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest weekend to swing through the Big Easy. BBQ, live music all day, homegrown booze vendors and perfect Spring weather, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Wesley grew up in coastal Georgia and is a former resident of The Music City and The Big Easy where he helped get LMB NOLA off-the-ground after launching in January 2011. Over the past few years, he has also contributed steadily to JamBase and Relix Magazine.
