Jammin’ For Japan (a benefit for the NOLA Japan Quake Fund) @ Rock N’ Bowl 4.10.11
An A-list line up in an iconic New Orleans rock & roll club, all for the sake of helping those in need (not to mention that Japan raised over $40 million for Katrina relief efforts). Led by Papa Grows Funk founder John Gros, the benefit concert will feature music from 7:30 to 11:00pm as well as a silent auction, unique merchandise sales, and Japanese food from local restaurants. Traditional Japanese drummers will be lending their talents to the already slammed line up of Papa Grows Funk, Sunpie Barnes, Jeremy Davenport, Kermit Ruffins, George Porter Jr. and Bonerama. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased here. Hope to see you at the Lanes!
Jammin’ For Japan Music Schedule:
7:30-8:00 – Jeremy Davenport
8:15-8:45 – Kermit Ruffins
9:00-9:30 – Bonerama
9:45-10:15 – Papa Grows Funk (with Sunpie Barnes as a special guest)
10:30-11:00 – Surprise Band
