Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival – June 11th & 12th @ The Old U.S. Mint

- June 11-12 @ Old U.S. Mint

Here’s the press release from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation, for more on the festival, go here

The fifth annual Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival will take place June 11-12 at the Old U.S. Mint, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days.

As in years past, the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival will take place in conjunction with the Louisiana Seafood Festival and the French Market’s Creole Tomato Festival. The three festivals are collectively known as the New Orleans Vieux To Do.

With three stages of music, more than a dozen food vendors, cooking demonstrations and a large crafts fair – all in the historic French Quarter – the Vieux To Do has become one of the major attractions of New Orleans’ social calendar.

The music schedule includes many of Louisiana’s favorite two-steppin’ dance bands.

The Lost Bayou Ramblers
Roddie Romero & the Hub City Allstars

VOLUNTEER TO HELP REBUILD HOUSES
We are partnering with the St. Bernard Project – a nationally-recognized nonprofit that specializes in rebuilding houses damaged in Hurricane Katrina – to offer a volunteer work day on the day before our La. Cajun Zydeco Festival. If you are interested in volunteering to help rebuild houses on Friday, June 10, visit the festival web site for details.

The Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival is produced and presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, the nonprofit that owns the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell . The Foundation uses the proceeds from Jazz Fest, along with other revenues, for year-round programs in the areas of education, economic development and cultural events. For more about what we do, visit us online here. You can help. To learn more about supporting the Foundation’s programs and activities, please see here.
