After his current tour of Europe wraps and a festival-hopping Stateside jaunt, Trombone Shorty will follow his Grammy-nom’d Backatown record with For True, slated for release on September 13 on Verve Forecast. For True features Andrews’ band, Orleans Avenue alongside a string of legendary performers with whom he recently shared the stage, including Jeff Beck, Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Ledisi, Warren Haynes, Ivan and Cyril Neville, Rebirth Brass Band and members of Galactic.

Troy wrote or co-wrote all 14 tracks on the new album including co-writes with Ledisi, Kid Rock, the legendary Lamont Dozier and more. The album was produced and engineered by Galactic sax/harmonica player Ben Ellman (except “The Craziest Thing” produced by George Drakoulias). About the author

Wesley grew up in coastal Georgia and is a former resident of The Music City and The Big Easy where he helped get LMB NOLA off-the-ground after launching in January 2011.
