Earlier this week, LMB NOLA celebrated its 1st 1/2 birthday (still so young and full of wonder), so to celebrate this insignificant passage of time, here is a look back at the Artists of the Month so far:

George Porter Jr. was kind enough to give us 30 minutes of his time way back in February and he let us in on the possibility of a certain Meters reunion at Bonnaroo. Then in March, Rich Vogel of Galactic spoke to us in the dead middle of Carnival madness, chatting about the band’s long-standing tradition of epic all-nighters on Lundi Gras at Tipitina’s. In April, we spotlighted the Generationals who were on the verge of a big Spring Tour in support of their catchy sophomore release Actor Caster. For May, we conducted a 2-part interview with Jazz Fest mad man Marco Benevento about his shows with Garage A Trois, as a solo act, and the handful of one-off jam sessions he played during Fest. For June, we saluted the Radiators before their career-closing Last Watusi run at Tipitina’s. Finally, earlier this week we chatted with Lafayette up-and-comers Givers before they ship out to Europe.

Now the question is: WHO should we feature next?
