The Raconteurs Added to Voodoo Lineup

The Raconteurs - Appearing at Voodoo 2011
Voodoo’s on a level
With Dead Weather and the excellent new ROME spaghetti western soundtrackin’ project with Norah Jones, Danger Mouse & Daniel Liuppi, I was fairly certain that it would be a long time before we got to see The Raconteurs surface once again on the festival circuit. With apologies to Sister/ex-wife Meg White, The Raconteurs are my personal favorite Jack White project and today’s announcement that they’ll be joining the Voodoo lineup now makes three, count em’, three great announcements (TVOTR – Monday; Peelander Z – Tuesday) in a row for Voodoo coming off a two-week announcement lull that had the festival’s social networks frenzied and agitated. The Raconteurs are also playing at MI Fest on September 17th and it appears are pretty much back in action for the time being until Jack White forms a Supergroup with Lady Gaga and Sting or something similarly off-the-wall.
This thing is really starting to build some momentum…now, who’s next?

Also, fun fact of the day: The Raconteurs are known as The Saboteurs in Australia.
