Watch The Throne at Voodoo?

Arguably the two most powerful men in the rap game today, Kanye West and Jay-Z have teamed up for a fall tour and forthcoming album to be released next Tuesday on iTunes under the new moniker Watch The Throne. As of right now, the fall tour dates are being re-tooled to help work in some new bookings. For now, the tour has a conspicuous gap in it between the Houston (10/26) and Atlanta (10/29) shows, leaving room for a possible Friday night Voodoo spot. However, as of now, mum’s the word, even after this afternoon’s announcement.

The Voodoo camp has not made their rumored big unveiling for today, so perhaps fans will have to wait for another day or two to see if this MAJOR show materializes. Regardless of your thoughts on this collaboration, this would be one of the bigger festival sets of the year anywhere if (a big if) it happens.

Consequence of Sound also lists Alberta Cross, The Bloody Beetroots and Fort Knox Five in it’s list of rumored/expected lineup additions.
