Toubab Krewe - The Maison - 10/28

Getting in a night early? City and Colour is playing the official official Voodoo kickoff party at House of Blues on Thursday night (October 27th) and Bassnectar’s playing The Sugar Mill. Haven’t had enough by the time the final band finishes up on Sunday? Surely there’ll be something to entertain you on Sunday night (last year’s Sunday night New Mastersounds Halloween show at Tipitina’s was a treat for the brave few weary-legged troopers in attendance). Never wanna leave/don’t wanna stop movin’? Galactic and Mofro will be throwin’ down on Halloween proper on Monday night at the Howlin’ Wolf. While Tip’s still hasn’t rolled out their Voodoo weekend schedule, several notable shows around the area are trickling in and it was just brought to my attention that Toubab Krewe will be playing The Maison after Friday’s festival at the bargain price of $10. Not gonna miss that one. A nice variety is on the menu so far and I expect this list to grow in the coming weeks.
