Welcome to the biggest week of live music thus far this fall in the city, a schedule that gets crackin’ tonight with up-and-coming blues man Gary Clark Jr. rockin’ the HoB Parish Room with Little Freddie King. Continue on for daily picks, links and videos from the artists coming to town this week.

Monday: Trombone Shorty will celebrate the release of his HUGE new record For True with a party at Tipitina’s. If that’s not enough Dumpstaphunk will be supporting.

Tuesday: Simple Play Presents & LMB NOLA bring you FUTUREBIRDS, J. Roddy Walston & The Business and New Grass Country Club @ One Eyed Jack’s. Modern songwriter icon Bright Eyes will also be playing at House of Blues that evening.

Wednesday: Carolina Chocolate Drops @ Tipitina’s.

Thursday: Meat Puppets @ One Eyed Jack’s. LMB NOLA takes off to ACL!

Friday: Ponderosa Stomp @ The Howlin’ Wolf

Saturday: Ponderosa Stomp @ The Howlin’ Wolf and Pretty Lights at the Sugar Mill

Sunday: Chromeo at House of Blues
