ACL FRI: Kanye, FUTUREBIRDS, Big Boi, Reptar, Santigold & More…

This year’s Austin City Limits festival is now well underway after a Thursday night kickoff party and yesterday’s very full day in Zilker Park that started with a pre-noon set with FUTUREBIRDS. It was my third and final show with them fellers this week (see their cover of Stevie Nicks’ “Wild Heart” below) and they played to a sizeable crowd of the eager early comers, been great watching these guys adapt to new habitats and cater to the various crowds (including a headlining set in New Orleans, an opening spot for J. Roddy and Delta Spirit at Emo’s and a festival set at ACL). Reptar, Santigold, Big Boi and Act 1 of Kanye West’s headlining show stick out from Day 1. Took a lot of pictures and videos (more of those to come), continue on after the jump for a smattering of crowd-shot videos, a top 5 and a photo gallery at the bottom.
