2011 Voodoo Experience Schedule

2011 - October 28-30 - City Park New Orleans

Voodoo announced their set times this weekend on Facebook and Twitter pages in real-time, billing the weekend experiment as Virtual Voodoo. If the band was playing at 2:00 pm on Friday, the announcement of the band’s time/stage information was made at exactly 2:00 pm on Friday with an accompanying YouTube clip of the band. Definitely a novel way to put out the set times that is very much in keeping with the initial one-artist/one-day-at-a-time lineup announcement. See below for some of the noteworthy sets and major headliners. The Fatboy Slim, Meters and Raconteurs all overlap is kind of a bummer but such conflicts are unavoidable at these multi-stage fests. Also, be sure to check out the late night options post. Finally, like us on Facebook to have a chance to win a pair of Voodoo passes. Contests start this week!

Recently, Hodges moved on to L.A. where Abita Beer is hard to find, costs about $6 if located and impromptu parading in the streets will most likely get you arrested on the spot.

I am so excited about VooDoo! Last year, Metric dressed up as the Scooby Doo gang. Nothing quite like a music festival over Halloween! I’ll be dressed as a glow-in-the-dark skeleton fairy this year.
