VIDEOS: Railroad Earth @ House of Blues 10/16/11

Over the weekend, Railroad Earth unleashed a saucy Saturday night show down at the House of Blues – laying down their signature mix of boot stompin’ string music and cavernous space-grass freakouts that has made them favorites in the jam, bluegrass and string music worlds. Set One was highlighted by the blissful “Like A Buddha -> Long Way To Go” closer, a nice showcase of the band’s world class instrumental chops and rock solid songwriting. The “Right In Tune” to start the second set was perfect, packing the floor once again with the dancing bodies and bobbing heads that had left for a smoke at halftime.

They would hit their stride once again with the psychedelic “Mourning Flies -> Head -> Been Down This Road”, but perhaps the peak of the madness was the raucous, show ending version of “Roadhouse Blues”…
