Galactic and The Soul Rebels to play CONAN Thursday

This Thursday night at 10 p.m. CST, be sure to tune into TBS to catch Galactic and The Soul Rebels performing together on CONAN, marking The Soul Rebels’ debut appearance on national television. Galactic and Living Colour’s Corey Glover will be performing “Hey Na Na,” a track from Galactic’s latest album Carnivale Electricos, with The Soul Rebels adding extra horns and vocals.

Soul Rebels’ saxophonist Erion Williams told Gambit, “We’re out on the road opening for Galactic, so it was a natural fit. We’ll be in Cali all week with them.” This comes after the Soul Rebels’ weekend of shows in Colorado and the two NOLA bands will appear at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles Thursday night after taping the show.

As a side note, CONAN’s longtime sidekick and announcer Andy Richter is a very vocal supporter and avid listener WWOZ, which is cool.
