LMB NOLA Presents Garage A Trois @ One Eyed Jacks – 5/4/12
WHO: LMB NOLA presents “the most dangerous instrumental band on the scene today” Garage A Trois
WHEN: Friday, May 4th, 2012 || Doors at 8 p.m.
WHERE: One Eyed Jacks @ 615 Toulouse Street in the French Quarter.
TICKETS: $20 (GET ‘EM ‘FORE THEY GONE)
For our first of hopefully many LMB NOLA Presents… concerts we couldn’t be more thrilled, excited and honored to be involved with Garage A Trois’ now-annual Jazzfest night show at One Eyed Jacks. After raving about their exquisitely bizarre, adventurous and incomparably unique 2011 LP Always Be Happy, But Stay Evil all last Spring I finally had the chance to see Marco, Skerik, Dillon and Stanton together for the first (and second time) last year on the middle Wednesday at Jazz Fest (in the afternoon at LA Music Factory and again that night Megalomaniac’s Ball) and both shows affirmed the notion that this is a special musical force worth checking out when the rare chance arises. If you’ve seen Garage A Trois then you already know about their unmatched creative energy, tight grasp of group dynamics, and brash ability to feed off of each other’s sense of musical wanderlust and venture into the unknown before a live audience. If you haven’t had the chance there’s no time like the present and one thing’s a certainty: you won’t find a night show remotely quite like this one.
To check out a studio track from the new album, hit play on the Soundcloud player below and scroll down further for a few live videos of the band. Also, check out Grant Thomas‘ review of their fall show down at Jacks here.
