There are few things more American then piling into a velvet-enshrouded French Quarter bordello on a steamy midsummer’s night with your fellow compatriots to revel in the glory of one our nation’s greatest contributions to the world: ROCK AND ROLL.

Therefore, it is with utmost pleasure, honor and excitement that LMB NOLA is proud to present one of New Orleans’ greatest contributions to the world: The Revivalists. The infectiously energetic band on the run arrives for Friday night’s home game on quite a heater, operating in midseason form and polished up after a lengthy tour of the heartland in support of their stunning new LP City of Sound (Check Offbeat’s review here). Moreover, the guys have got to still be brimming with excitement from the recent announcement that the band has linked up with management/booking/biz-shepherds-of-all-things-good Madison House to take care of the business side of things, always a huge step in the right direction for a band on the rise, a pivotal career moment that will provide the band with more time to focus on the important stuff: the MUSIC. Stokeswood will open the show, so get there early, enjoy One Eyed Jacks’ air-conditioning, cheap drinks, and be sure to tip the friendly bar keeps. Wesley grew up in coastal Georgia and is a former resident of The Music City and The Big Easy where he helped get LMB NOLA off-the-ground after launching in January 2011. Over the past few years, he has also contributed steadily to JamBase and Relix Magazine.
