Rebirth Brass Band set to tour with Red Hot Chili Peppers

Yes, you read that right. The homegrown, Grammy-winning, brass-banging soldiers of soul from New Orleans, The Rebirth Brass Band, has just announced 8 tour dates with Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famers, Red Hot Chili Peppers. While this is HUGELY exciting, its hard to say that the tour accompaniment is unexpected, given the elite talent that Rebirth has so finely-tuned over their nearly 30-year career, and the fact that Flea has recently proclaimed his sheer admiration for the musically-infused culture of the Big Easy (which you can read about HERE). As a product of RHCP’s admiration, here are the 8 tour dates set for right-on-funkathons:

11/14/12 Portland, OR Rose Garden Arena
11/15/12 Seattle, WA Seattle Center
11/17/12 Vancouver, BC Rogers Arena
11/19/12 Calgary, AB Scotiabank Saddledome
11/21/12 Edmonton, AB Rexall Place

11/24/12 Saskatoon, SK Credit Union Centre
11/26/12 Winnipeg, MB MTS Centre
