This Tuesday, hearty and wise rockers, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, is rolling into Tipitina’s Uptown to bring us a lovely evening of one of the purest forms of rock and roll available today. Tomorrow night, the band’s latest album, The Magic Door, will open to reveal a number of new freak n roll tunes by the beloved Chris Robinson Brotherhood. From his carpet covered walls to his bare feet, the proverbial Chris Robinson – former Black Crowes frontman – represents a piece of rock and roll nostalgia that is increasingly rare in a world consumed by hi-fi swells and oscillations. The group’s lineup includes Adam MacDougall (of the Black Crowes) on keyboards, George Sluppick on drums, Mark “Muddy” Dutton (of Burning Tree) on Bass, and Neal Casal on guitar, each of which, as a ripe and seasoned jewel of Americana rock and roll, is ready to bring the hell fire fun to Tipitina’s.
